GATE 2025 Counselling: IISc Bengaluru has published the round 9 GATE COAP 2025 offers on July 4, 2025. Candidates must login in at gate.iisc.ac.in/coap2025 to check and accept IIT admission offers through the GATE COAP round 9 counselling. IISc Bengaluru revised the counselling dates for GATE COAP. The new dates for GATE counselling through COAP are updated here. Candidates had to register for CCMT counselling for those who are seeking admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The CCMT seat allotment for round 3 was announced on June 217 2025.

The GATE 2025 result was declared on March 19, 2025. Only those candidates with a valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering are able to participate in the counselling of GATE 2025. There are two modes of GATE counselling, COAP and CCMT. It is important to note that there is no centralised counselling for IIT admission through the GATE exam. GATE COAP Admission Process - How to apply for IIT after GATE
IISc Bangalore has released the COAP 2025 application forms for M.Tech admissions on the official website. Candidates looking for “how to apply for IIT after GATE” should note that they must apply at the respective institutes as well. However, the candidates will also have to register at GATE COAP 2025 for counselling. Candidates can access the list of offers from the institutes where they applied through COAP on the portal. This allows the candidates to check their options in one place and make their decision.
GATE COAP Eligibility 2025
Candidates who wish to register for GATE COAP 2025 have to meet the eligibility conditions as per the counselling for M.Tech through GATE 2025. Aspirants failing to meet any criterion will be disqualified from the admission process.
- Should have a valid GATE score from the years 2023, 2024 or 2025 to apply for COAP.
- Candidates having more than one valid GATE score will have to enter the highest score during registration; however, details about other scores will also be required.
- Candidates should also meet the eligibility criteria specified by the institute to which they are applying.

Centralised Counselling for M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan or CCMT is conducted for admission in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs based on GATE scores. The authority has commenced the CCMT 2025 counselling online. GATE CCMT Admission 2025
For admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFITs, candidates will have to participate in CCMT counselling 2025. There will be three regular rounds of IIT GATE counselling 2025. The GATE 2025 counselling process will include steps of registration & payment of the fee, choice locking, and document verification. The final seat allotment will be based on the GATE 2025 scores/ranks, availability of seats, and choices locked by the candidates.
GATE CCMT Eligibility Criteria 2025
There are certain conditions and requirements laid down by the authorities, and students are required to meet all of them.
- Candidates should have a valid GATE score in 2022/2023/2024/2025.
- Candidates should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in the case of SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Candidates possessing certificates/ qualifications from any of the professional societies with permanent recognition may also be eligible to participate in some of the PG programs through CCMT.
Documents required for GATE counselling 2025
- Document for Proof of date of birth:
- A photo ID proof as per the Government of India norms.
- Mark sheet of Class XII.
- Grade/Mark sheets of the qualifying examination for all semesters.
- Degree/ Provisional certificate. If the result of the qualifying degree is awaited, a certificate of course completion from the institute/university last studied must be provided in the prescribed format available on the CCMT website.
- GATE scorecard (2022, 2023, 2024/2025).
- Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS
- Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable.
