No, it is not compulsory. Candidates can also attempt a single paper in the GATE 2027 exam.
The GATE 2027 registration fee for a single paper for male candidates is Rs 2000., hence candidates will have to pay Rs 4000 to apply for two papers in GATE exam. However, the application fee for female and reserved categories is Rs 1000, so candidates must pay Rs 2000 for two-papers.
