GATE 2027 - IIT Madras will conclude GATE 2027 registration with a late fee on October 12, 2026. Eligible candidates can complete their applications on the official website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in. Those registering after the regular deadline must pay an additional Rs 500 late fee, making the total registration fee Rs 2,500. Candidates who missed the initial deadline still have the opportunity to apply by paying the late fee. An unverified DigiLocker account can be used by selecting the default ID proof option during GATE application form 2027. To be eligible for GATE 2027, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or be in the third year or higher of an undergraduate program. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam is scheduled for February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to M.Tech courses offered at top engineering colleges in India. Candidates who have completed or are in the 3rd year/ higher of their Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology will be able to appear for GATE 2027. How to Apply for IIT Madras GATE 2027?
The exam conducting body has released the GATE 2027 application form on the official GOAPS portal. The authority has commenced the online registration on September 2, 2026, and extended the last date without an additional fee to October 5, 2026. Earlier, the date was September 27, 2026.

DigiLocker Mandatory for GATE Registration 2027
IIT Madras has made DigiLocker compulsory for GATE 2027 registration. That is, aspirants will first have to create a DigiLocker account. If they already have an account, then they must update their details. The authority will link the GOAPS account with DigiLocker to authenticate the information given during the registration. Hence, all the data must be reviewed carefully.

GATE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
The authority has released the GATE eligibility 2027 on the official website. The eligibility of GATE 2027 consists of age, nationality, educational qualifications, and more.
Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. NRIs who fulfil the eligibility criteria can also appear for GATE 2027.
Educational qualification: Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree from a recognised board can apply for the exam.
Age limit: There is no age restriction to appear for the GATE 2027 exam.
GATE GOAPS 2027
GOAPS 2027 is the online application processing system, where students can generate GATE 2027 login. The authority will activate the GOAPS link on the official website gate2027.iitm.ac.in. GATE GOAPS 2027 portal will be used to download the admit card, filling the form and checking the results online. GATE 2027 aspirants must create a GATE GOAPS login. GATE Application Form Correction 2027
IIT Madras will start the GATE 2027 application form correction process on October 14, 2026. The GATEform correction process allows candidates to edit any incorrect details entered in the application form. Candidates will be able to access the form correction process through GOAPS 2027. However, to make the correction, candidates have to pay requisite fee; also they will be allowed to edit only a few details during the GATE 2027 form correction process. GATE 2027 Admit Card
IIT Madras will release the admit card for GATE 2027 exam in January 2027. It is a mandatory document that all candidates must bring on the exam day. GATE exam hall ticket contains GATE 2027 exam date, time, venue, and basic details of candidates. Only candidates who will produce the admit card on the exam day will be granted entry to the exam hall. The autgorities will not send the GATE 2027 admit card.

GATE 2027 Result
IIT Madras will declare the result of GATE 2027 on March 19. Candidates can check their performance such as marks obtained, GATE score, and qualifying status in the GATE exam results.
