IISER Exam Pattern 2026
IISER will soon release the IAT 2026 exam pattern on the official portal, iiseradmission.in. The exam pattern will consist of a marking scheme, mode of exam, types of questions, the total number of questions, mode of exam, and much more. The IISER exam will be held for 3 hours in online mode. The paper will include 60 objective questions for 180 marks. The medium of the test will be English. Below is the detailed exam pattern for IISER as per past year's notification.

IISER Questions 2026
Candidates appearing for IISER 2026 will be given 3 Hours for 60 objective questions. These 60 questions in IISER question paper 2026 wiill be divided into 4 sections with 15 questions in each section.

The IISER exam has four sections which include Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology.
There is an equal weightage for all the four subjects(physics,chemistry,maths,biology) in the IISER aptitude test. The questions will be theory based and answering them will be possible only if we are thorough with NCERT.
Students who have passed 10+2 level from the science stream from any board are eligible for this exam.
The course offered at IISER is 5 yr BS-MS program channel through JEE Advanced, KVPY and SCB.
After doing a PhD post your BS-MS course, you can join any CSIR labs or University or research lab as a staff scientist or principal investigator.
