KCET Option Entry 2025 Date - KEA will commence the KCET 2025 option entry for round 2 soon. The authority will release the KCET option entry dates 2025 for round 2 on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates with a valid KCET 2025 score are eligible for the option entry. The KCET 2025 option entry allows candidates to choose their interested course and college during the counselling. To choose options for the KCET exam, candidates need to log in using the acknowledgement number and secret key, allowing them to select their colleges. Candidates with a valid rank in the KCET 2025 exam are able to participate in the option entry. The round 1 KCET 2025 option entry has been concluded on July 29, 2025. The KCET 2025 Round 1 seat allotment was declared on August 2, 2025.

The following steps can be referred to by the candidates for the KCET 2025 option entry
Document Verification: Eligible candidates must first complete the document verification at the assigned KEA Helpline Centre. Once the documents are successfully verified, the candidates will receive an Acknowledgement Slip and Secret Key. Candidates must use these credentials to login to the KCET option entry portal.
Option Entry & Choice Filling: Candidates must click on the “KCET 2025 Option entry” link on the official website and login using the required credentials. Once the candidate logs in, the list of eligible colleges and courses based on the ranks of candidates will be available.
Select Options: The colleges and branches can be selected and rearranged according to the preference of the candidate.
Save & Continue: Once the candidate is happy with his order and choices, he can hit the Save and continue” button to avoid losing data
Locking Choices: Once the candidate is happy with his choices, he should “lock” them. Once locked, take a printout of the final option entry slip for future reference.
Note: The candidate cannot change their choices after locking them unless the portal is reopened for editing. Hence, the candidate should double-check the options before locking them.
Candidates who have successfully completed the option entry will then be allotted seats during the KCET 2025 seat allotment. The authority releases a mock allotment along with 2 final seat allotment results. Candidates can modify their KCET options before each round of seat allotment based on the colleges and courses allotted to them.
