The procedure for KCET 2025 Counselling is as follows:
Step 1 - Document Verification and Registration: All qualified candidates must verify their documents at the specified centres. The following documents must be produced:
Scorecard of SSLC/10th Standard.
Scorecard of 2nd PUC/12th Standard.
Two recent passport-size photographs.
Study Certificate Countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI.
Any other required documents.
KCET 2025 application form printout.
Proof of application fee payment.
Caste / Caste Income Certificate.
Kannada Medium Certificate.
Income Certificate
Rural Study Certificate.
Parents’ study certificate / Hometown certificate / Domicile certificate / Employment certificate / Cumulative Record / Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the parents' domicile/study/employment.
Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses C and D. (Regarding Mother Tongue).

After verification, candidates will be given a unique ID and password. One set of photocopies of all documents will be retained by KEA, and the original documents will be returned to the candidates. Candidates will also receive an acknowledgement card and verification slip.
Step 2 - Choice Filling and Locking: Verified candidates must log in using their KCET number to fill in their preferred courses and colleges, in order of preference. Candidates can add, rearrange, or modify their choices before the final date. The candidates will be able to check the course-wise, category-wise, and college-wise seat matrix, which the authorities will release. No changes will be accepted after the choices are locked.
Step 3 - Allotment of Seats: After the choice-filling process ends, the authorities announce the mock seat allotment result of KCET 2025. Candidates can check their chances of admission based on their merit and preferred seats. Candidates can change their choices and check their allotment status in online mode by logging in using their CET number. Two rounds of allotment, along with a second extended round and special round, will be conducted during KCET 2025 counselling. The provisional allotment letter must be downloaded and printed out by the candidates.
Step 4 - Reporting at Allotted Institutes: Selected candidates must report to their respective allotted institutes to confirm their admission before the last date for KCET document verification 2025. Candidates must produce their documents, the allotment letter, and pay the KCET counselling fees while reporting to the institute.
