Q: Did you take coaching for JEE Advanced and if yes from where?
Rajit Gupta: Yes, I took coaching from the ALLEN JEE Institute. I was a regular classroom student here. Allen's study material saved a lot of time as they were systematically arranged and covered everything. I am glad for the exceptional teachers here who helped me throughout my preparation.
Q: What led you to remain focused throughout your preparation journey?
Rajit Gupta: I was solely focused on my goal, that is IIT Bombay or any prestigious IIT for that matter. If you are clear on what you want to achieve, it is easier to navigate the how.
Q: When did you start your JEE preparation? Tell us something about your preparation strategy and daily routine for JEE Main.
Rajit Gupta: I have been preparing with Allen since 6th class. ALLEN’s regular classroom programme. While I was preparing for the JEE Mains 2025 session 1 exam my main focus was that I should not repeat the mistakes. I believe the foundation of subjects becomes strong only when mistakes are removed. I never strictly followed a schedule for studies because it creates an unnecessary pressure. So I used to study only when I felt like it, but for whatever time I studied, I used to study well. I used to study further in the topic only after clearing my doubts.
Q: What do you think are the key factors behind your stupendous success in JEE Main?
Rajit Gupta: Happiness is the key to my success. I try to remain happy in every situation.
Q: How did you de-stress yourself during the preparation? What are your hobbies? How often could you pursue them?
Rajit Gupta: I get a chance, I play with the children of the colony.
Q: Were you confident about your performance after the test?
Rajit Gupta: Yes I was confident about my preparation. I had not even seen the answer key. My father told me to get the answer key once but I said, 'Papa, don't worry, I will qualify for Advanced'.
