The IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech merit status is formulated on the basis of candidates' scores in UGEE, JEE Main, SPEC, Olympiad or KVPY. The institute will announce the merit of candidates through login on the website, iiit.ac.in. Students can download the IIIT Hyderabad merit in the form of a score card and check their marks. To check candidates' merit details, they can follow the below-mentioned steps
Step 1- Open the official website of IIIT Hyderabad, iiit.ac.in.
Step 2- Click on the admission mode through which applied for admission.
Step 3- Login using the registration number and password. Click on the result link.
Step 4- Download and take a printout of the document.
For admission through JEE Main, the institute will release a merit list for all candidates who apply, on the basis of their score in JEE Main exam. Candidates having their names in the merit list are called for admission.
Candidates will be able to apply for admission through UGEE for admission in IIIT Hyderabad. The entrance exam consists of two tests, a subject proficiency test and the research aptitude test. Candidates were shortlisted on the basis of marks in the exam.
Candidates selected for training to represent India at the International Olympiads in Informatics, Science, Mathematics, Physics and Linguistics during class 1 and/or class 12 could apply for admission through this channel. Applicants participating only in certified Olympiads qualify for this mode. No other Olympiads are considered.
Candidates with a KVPY rank of 5000 or better will be able to apply for admission under KVPY mode. Among such applicants, the top 100 candidates were eligible for an interview. Such applicants are eligible for only the CND programme. Applicants are allowed to apply for KVPY or the Olympiad, but not both.
SPEC mode is a Special Channel of Admission for B.Tech programmes. This channel is aimed at identifying students with extraordinary talent or background. Candidates who qualify for the UDAAN scheme of CBSE or are currently enrolled in an integrated, six-year, class 12 + B.Tech programme (after the 10th class) can apply under this scheme. Admission is through the entrance exam.
Candidates who are not residents of India can apply for admission under the Direct Admission for Students Abroad (DASA) channel. Admission through DASA is on the basis of SAT General and SAT subjects. Students need to have passed class 12 or are studying in class 12 or its equivalent examination.
